Homeward, painted by Jack White '44 hangs permanently in the lobby of the Fort Worth Public Library

The Ft. Worth Cowgirls Steal The Show....
(another artifact from the files of Evyonne Andrews Eddins '52)

Peg Huffman McMahon '51, Evyonne Andrews Eddins '52, and Pat Straughn Smith '52 show the crowd at Billy Bobs how bull riding is really done.  What's so hard about riding a bull???  It's so easy even a Caveman can do it.  We notice that Evyonne is wearing her Mr. Clean combat badge and driving with one hand again.  The occasion was a monthly luncheon that the Class of '52 instituted several months ago.  Class of '52 members wanting to participate in these luncheons should contact Evyonne at evonandrews@sbcglobal.net for further information.

A Gathering of Eagles

 L to R, Jean Campbell Hargrove, Helen Parham Webster, and Louise Tate Hefner all members of the Class of '50 met in Tyler recently to catch up on old times.  Helen and Louise have been in touch with each other via cards at birthdays and Christmas and an occasional visit, but Louise has not seen Jean since they graduated 55 years ago.

What a fine looking bunch of folks

Becky Sandlin Dollar (center second row between the two ladies in red) was elected Coming Home Queen for 2002. The lady that is third from the right on the second row has her picture elsewhere on this page, but from the 1950's. Can you find her?? (Tommy Holden correctly identified Angela Moore as the mystery lady)

Can Anybody Identify the approximate date???

From Peg Huffman McMahon '51. We believe she said that this photo came from the Sunday edition of the Fort Worth Press (hmmm remember that one??)

Best guestimates on the date is winter of 1936 or early part of 1937. The school opened for business in 1936, and had sixteen mid-term graduates in 1937. They were the first to receive diplomas from Riverside High School. Oh yeah, they only had 11 grades back in those days. The old high school was located where Riverside Elementary was located before they tore that one down, but they never graduated anyone from there.  The kids had to bus (or streetcar) across town to Central to finish high school after the 8th grade.

++++++++ FROM THE CLASS OF 1939 +++++++++
